2015 Heritage Days Knap-in Announcement

September 25th and 26th

Sacajawea State Park, Pasco WA

The Puget Sound Knappers have been invited to participate in the Heitage Days Celebration Event at Sacajawea State Park, Pasco, WA on September 25th and 26th. Marvin Barger will host the PSK's participation.

Marvin has arranged for a canopy cover, three 6 foot tables, four chairs and space for two large tarp work areas.

This event will attract a lot of public attendance with 2,000 kids already expected for Friday the 25th and and 200 adults on Saturday the 26th.

There is a camping area here for dry camp only $13 a night.

In addition to Flintknapping there will be a wide variety of activities and things to do and see including the following:

Directions

From Northwestern WA

1. Start out taking I-90 E toward Spokane for 120 mi
2. Take exit 137 to merge onto WA-26 E toward Othello/Pullman in 1.0 mile
3. Turn right onto WA-243 S in 14.3 miles
4. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on WA-243 S 13.9 miles
5. Continue onto WA-24 W 5.4 miles
6. Continue onto WA-240 E 28.8 miles
7. Turn right onto State Hwy 240/WA-240 E 4.2 miles
8. Lake the Washington 240 E/Interstate 182 ramp to Pasco/Kennewick 0.7 mile
9. Merge onto I-182 E 9.6 miles
10. Continue onto US-12 E 4.0 miles
11. Turn right onto Sacajawea Park Rd (signs for Sacajawea Pard Rd) 2.0 miles
12. Turn right Destination will be on the left

From Oregon/Idaho

1. Start out heading north to intercept Interstate 84
2. Head east or west (as appropriate) to I 82 West
3. Follow I-82 W to US-395 N in Benton County.
4. Take exit 113 from I-82 W/US-395 N 18 min (20.9 miles)
5. Continue to Pasco. Take the US-12/US-395 exit from US-395 N 12 min (7.7 miles)
6. Follow US-12 E to Sacajawea Park Rd 5 min (5.1 mile)
7. Turn right onto Sacajawea Park Rd (signs for Sacajawea Park Rd)

From Northeast WA (Spokane area)

1. Start out heading west on I90 for 60 miles
2. Turn south on Hwy 395 towards Pasco 74 miles
3. Take exit 14B onto US-12 E toward Walla Walla. 3.8 miles
4. Turn right onto Sacajawea Park Rd (signs for Sacajawea Pard Rd)

From Montana

1. Start out heading west to Spokane on I90 for 200 miles
2. Continue west from Spokane on I90 to Ritzville 60 miles
3. Turn south on Hwy 395 towards Pasco 74 miles
4. Take exit 14B onto US-12 E toward Walla Walla. 3.8 miles
5. Turn right onto Sacajawea Park Rd (signs for Sacajawea Pard Rd)
